DoJ Memo: Summary Execution of Americans OK if President is Democrat

In other news, the Department of Justice said it's perfectly legal for the president to order the killing of American citizens if it is believed they are somehow connected to terrorist groups.  It does not require actual evidence or intelligence that indicates this is so, or that an attack by said terrorist group on the U.S. or her vital interests is actively contemplated.  It's "legal, ethical, and wise" if somebody thinks such an attack might happen, and an American citizen might be involved.

Oh.  Yes.  I forgot.  There's one other requirement.

The president at the time the summary execution is ordered must be a Democrat.  If the president is a Republican, then this just proves that conservatives are Nazis.  But then, to the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and all the rest, everything just proves conservatives are Nazis, while everything done by a Democrat is "legal, ethical, and wise."

Thanks for bringing this up. This issue seems to me more important than many others. I wish the big name conservatives and the talk radio hordes would worry about this issue as much as they worry about whether Michelle Obama is too fat.

I voted for Obama in 2008 because I thought he would end these kinds of practices.

He has expanded them and I did not vote for him in 2012 because he did. I voted Libertarian instead of Romney because I thought Romney would insure more too big to fail corporations.

This policy is wrong and ought to be condemned no matter which party pursues it. For the record, one of Obama's most vocal critics on these policies has been Glenn Greenwald, a rather proud liberal
